In VM workstation, I have a Windows Server 2012 with STD edition named : STD2012

I created a snapshot and use that snapshot to create 3 VMs. However, I selected linked clone instead of full cloned.

VM1 is now DC. When i tried to join VM2 and Vm3 to the domain, I was not able to do so because the system reported that SID is not unique.

So, I downloaded PSGETSID on my VM and used it to check SID (just to confirm that SID of VM1, VM2 and VM3 is same).

Then i used sysprep command on VM that automatically change the SID of VM.
